12.29.20 | Video by Alex | BROWNSVILLE, Brooklyn | A man was shot by police after charging at them with a machete. This happened on Tuesday night, December 29, 2020 at 6pm at the corner of Dumont avenue and Hertzl street in Brooklyn. The police fired once and struck the man in the chest. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The man had reportedly been swinging the machete and threatening residents of the neighborhood. He managed to slash a woman and her dog while they were out for a walk. She was taken to Kings County Hospital where she was treated for lacerations to her head and hands and is in stable condition. The dog was also treated at a nearby clinic
