BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – A police officer was shot in the back and survived. It happened around 9:30 Thursday at 1798 Bergen street in Brooklyn. The officer was shot in the back and survived his injury thanks to his bullet proof vest. He was transported by EMS to a nearby hospital. He was only 27 years old.
