Late Saturday night June 30, 2018 two members from Veterans Suicide Awareness Project set out on a 22 mile ruck march from the city of Norco to the Riverside National Cemetery. The pair left Norco at 11:30pm with a 22 pound ruck sack (Back Pack) on their backs and a safety support team to help. The goal was to help raise awareness of PTSD among Veterans. On average, 22 Veterans commit suicide every day and as June is PTSD awareness month, the pair wanted to do their part to help bring awareness. On Memorial Day Veterans Suicide Awareness Project walked 41 miles from Covina to Riverside National Cemetery to bring awareness to suicide among Veterans. Today, the pair reached the Riverside National Cemetery shortly before 8:30am.
