Non Complying Suspect Yank Out Of Car |

Sometime after 2:00 am Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Norwalk Station was behind a four-door white Jetta that was driving reckless and not stopping for red lights. The car was westbound towards the 605 when deputies attempted to pull over the vehicle but the suspect didn’t stop and a pursuit started. The suspect blew multiple red lights before getting onto the northbound 605 freeway at high-speeds. Deputies continued with the pursuit on the northbound 605 fwy coming up to the 60 freeway. The suspect was driving at a high speed NB 605 fwy and pulling away from deputies. LASD canceled the pursuit due to unsafe speeds. LASD notified California Highway patrol Santa Fe Springs station to take over the pursuit or catch up to the suspect. LASD had an air unit that was assisting California Highway patrol in locating the vehicle on the freeway. CHP was not able to locate the vehicle on the freeway but had a license plate, the vehicle came back to an address in West Covina. California Highway Patrol Santa Fe Springs and West Covina PD parked a couple blocks down from the residence and waited for the suspect to return home. After about 30 minutes the suspect did return home and a second pursuit started. West Covina PD took over the pursuit since it was in their city. The suspect eventually turned into a residential area where he drove into a dead end. West Covina PD blocked the suspect in and made several attempts to call the suspect out of the vehicle but the suspect did not comply. West Covina PD with their shield and guns drawn, walked up to the suspect vehicle and broke out the driver side window. They pulled the suspect out and took him into custody. West CovinaFD responded to the scene and checked out the suspect but the suspect refused treatment.
