Times Square Gunman Who Shot Tourist Sunday

The NYPD is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the following individual in connection to an assault which occurred within the confines of the Midtown South Precinct. The following has been reported to police:

On Sunday, June 27, 2021, at approximately 1715 hours, police responded to calls of a male shot in the vicinity of West 45th Street and 7th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers determined an unidentified male discharged a firearm, striking a 21-year-old male bystander, who sustained a gunshot wound to the back. EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue in stable condition. The unidentified male fled eastbound on 45th Street toward 6th Avenue.
