STATEN ISLAND: 3-Alarm House Fire

TOTTENVILLE, Staten Island – Firefighters battled a 3 alarm house fire in freezing twenty-degree weather this morning. House fire was located at 35 Sprague Ave within the confines of the 123 Precinct. The fire started at 1:52 am on Thursday. Two firefighters were treated for minor injuries. The fire was under control at 3:24 am. Jenna Sannino lives on the same block. She stated “The flames were shooting up in the sky. I was hoping no one was in there. I know there are people working on the house. The owner was trying to sell the house and it did not work out. They were having construction issues.” The cause of the fire has yet to be determined and is being investigated by fire marshalls.
