MANHATTAN: Workers Trapped

ROSE HILL, Manhattan – Around 5 pm Tuesday, at 30 East 29 St, within the confines of the 13th Precinct, 8 workers were trapped in a confined space combined with a carbon monoxide poisoning emergency. Cause of the poisoning was gas generators. All but two workers were initially rescued and in stable condition. The remaining two took longer to extricate via high angle rescue. They were transported in serious condition to an area hospital via ambulance. Police conducted crowd control in the area as well. Incident was under control by around 6 pm.
