MANHATTAN: Homeless Tunnel Dweller Struck by Train

4.30.19 | by Adam Balhetchet | UPPER WEST SIDE, Manhattan – A homeless man was struck by a train. It happened on West 79th St & Broadway around 1 am Tuesday. According to officials, MTA workers discovered the man 150 feet south of the train platform inside of the tunnel. Firefighters and ESU showed up to extricate the man. Power was cut and rescuers extricated him. He was treated by EMS for a severe leg injury and rushed to St Lukes Hospital.
