Caught on Camera: Perp Randomly Stabs, Robs, Hits Folks w/ Garbage Bag

The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male who is seen in the attached surveillance photos and is sought in connection with an assault/burglary pattern within the confines of the 1st, 13th, Midtown South and Midtown North Precincts. Details are as follows:

Incident #1 (1st Pct.): It was reported to police that on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at approximately 1830 hours, an unidentified individual did enter the Gumbae restaurant located at 67 Murray Street and removed an iPad from the front desk before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.

Incident #2 (Midtown South Pct.): It was reported to police that on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at approximately 0930 hours, an unidentified individual did enter the Shanghai Mong restaurant located at 30 West 32nd Street through an unlocked door and removed approximately $300 dollars from a cash register before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.

Incident #3 (1st Pct.): It was reported to police that on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at approximately 1200 hours, a 38-year-old male victim was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified individual in front of 83 Pearl Street. The unidentified individual stabbed the victim in the face with an unknown sharp object before fleeing southbound on Pearl Street.

Incident #4 (13th Pct.): It was reported to police that on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at approximately 0650 hours, a 60-year-old female victim was walking on the sidewalk in front of 10 Union Square East when she was approached by an unidentified individual. The unidentified individual swung a black bag striking the victim in the back of the head, unprovoked, before fleeing toward 14th Street. The victim sustained swelling to the back of the head.

Incident #5 (Midtown North Pct.): It was reported to police that on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at approximately 0845 hours, an unidentified individual did enter the Elgin restaurant located at 64 West 48th Street and removed two tablets and approximately $250 dollars from the hostess stand and cash register before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.
