BROOKLYN: NYPD Secures Synagogues

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn – NYPD has dispatched Strategic Response Group (SRG) units to Synagogues throughout NYC for increased presence and security. This following the active shooter that killed 11 people, injured 6 and shot 2 Cops. This happened 1030 am Saturday at the Tree of Life Synagogue located at Wilkins & Shady Ave. He was shot and arrested by police and transported to Allegheny General Hospital in stable condition. Bomb squad currently investigating class1 explosives on the upper floor. Perps vehicle was checked for explosives and has been cleared. Squirrel Hill is the biggest Jewish neighborhood in Pittsburgh, much like Borough Park is in NYC.
