9.26.20 | by Adam | BAY RIDGE, Brooklyn – A bodega worker was slashed during an attempted robbery. It happened around 6 pm Saturday at a Bodega located at 569 92nd St next to the Sunoco gas station. According to a nearby bodega, the suspect attempted to steal a can of soda. The bodega owner was then slashed in the neck. Police were called, who joined the victim on a foot pursuit which ended five blocks away at Gelston Ave & 88th St. Police restrained the suspect and called for two ambulances. Two Bravo Volunteer Ambulances arrived first at the scene. NYU Paramedics also responded. The victim was treated for a slash wound to his neck and transported to an area hospital by Bravo EMS in stable condition. The suspect was treated for a head injury from a fall. He was also transported by Bravo EMS to an area Hospital in stable condition. According to sources, the suspect was a wanted man all over Brooklyn & Nassau County.
