BLOOMINGTON, CALIFORNIA – San Bernardino County Fire responded to multiple reports of a fire near Bloomington High School. The fire was reported around 12:19am in the 10700 block of Tamarind Avenue. Strong winds fanned the fire and sent hot embers flying, which sparked several additional fires along Tamarind Avenue near Santa Ana. One home owner tried vigorously to put the massive flames out with a garden hose as it burned an RV, a bus, trees and sheds. Police were asked to assist with evacuations along Tamarind as strong winds continued to allow the fire to jump from property to property prompting a 3rd alarm. No immediate word on injuries, however, one German Shepard was visible frightened and appeared injured.
