Two Men Shot in Driveby Shooting by Adam Balhetchet | 1.31.19
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan – Two men were shot in a drive-by shooting at 12:19 am Thursday, at 158 St & Broadway, within the confines of the 33rd Precinct. One male was shot in the neck and transported in traumatic arrest, CPR performed, to an area hospital. The other victim was shot in the arm and was transported in stable condition. Police are looking for a black Cadillac SUV that fled the scene in an unknown direction. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
NYPD Report: On Thursday, January 31, 2019, at 0015 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a male shot at 536 West 158 Street, within the confines of the 33 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 24-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his neck. EMS transported the male to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. It was also determined that a second victim, a 25-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his arm, transported himself via private means to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where he is listed in stable condition. Both males were seated inside a black 2015 Mercedes Benz sedan (25-year-old male driver, 24-year-old male front seat passenger), when a black Cadillac SUV pulled up along the passenger side of the vehicle and an adult male emerged and began firing into the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle, striking the occupants. The suspect then fled in the Cadillac SUV, backing up the street and driving off in an unknown direction. Additionally, there was a 22-year-old female rear seat passenger in the victim’s vehicle who was unharmed. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation remains ongoing.
