MIDTOWN, Manhattan – An MTA worker was injured on the tracks of the 53 & 7 Ave subway station Tuesday around 1 am. Power was turned off before FDNY and ESU members could gain access to him. The MTA worker was carried in a stokes basket all the way up to the street level where Mount Sinai EMS transferred the injured worker to a stretcher and loaded into the ambulance. Unknown how the worker got injured. He was transported in stable condition to an area hospital.
