EAST VILLAGE, Manhattan – A wall collapsed in a vacant building under construction. This happened at 4 pm Tuesday, at 310 East 10th St, within the confines of the 9th Precinct. An all-hands response was transmitted. FDNY Battalion 6 reported an internal wall of the building was partially collapsed. OEM, Buildings Department, & Con-Edison was requested. Some folks had to evacuate neighboring buildings. No one was injured in the collapse. The whole block was closed off to vehicular traffic.  just before the evening rush hour. The incident was under control by 5:30 pm.
