MANHATTAN: 21-Year-Old Female Killed by Subway Train

It happened at the Union Square subway station at approximately 3:06 am Saturday, within the confines of the 13th Precinct. According to police, the 21-year-old female made contact with the southbound 6 train, fell into the tracks, and was struck by the train. EMS pronounced her deceased on the scene. An arrest was made after this incident occurred although police have denied the arrest was connected to the death. Police are continuing to investigate what caused her to make contact with the train.
