Man Critically Struck by Subway Train | Chambers Station

3.16.20 | by Adam Balhetchet | FIDI, Manhattan – A man was struck by a subway train. According to police it happened at approximately 11:20 pm Monday at the Chambers St station. That is when police say he appeared to jumped into the tracks and was struck by the south-bound A-train. A witness we spoke to also confirmed the man jumped in front of the train and the coachman was not able to stop the train in time. The 60-year-old man was extricated by FDNY Rescue 1 & NYPD ESU and rushed to Bellevue hospital in critical condition.
