PALM SPRINGS- On Thursday Afternoon September 17, 2020 Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire along with Riverside City Fire, Murrieta Fire, U.S. Forest Service, Riverside County Sheriff, CHP responded to reports of a brush fire. The brush fire was reported at approximately 2:38 pm in the 15000 block of Snow Creek Road and Highway 111 in the unincorporated County are of Palm Springs. The fire is currently at zero percent containment. Due to the steep terrain ground crews can not fight the fire. Four helicopters are currently conducting water drops on the fire. Due to the wind, fixed wing aircraft are not on scene. The fire is moving at a rapid rate of spread. Several homes are in the area but are not currently in any type of danger at this time.
