LOS ANGELES: LAPD Officer Shot, Rushed to Hospital by Fellow Officers

Per Chief Moore both the officer & suspect are at County USC and out of surgery. The Chief said the officer that was shot was taken to the hospital by another officer in a patrol unit. The Chief also said, per the surgeon, that the quick thinking of his fellow officers is what saved the officer.
The shooting took place at the scene of a traffic stop and two suspects took foot-bail. During a foot chase a running gun battle between one of the suspects and a officer took place. The officer was shot multiple times and taken to the hospital by a fellow officer in a patrol unit. The suspect that did the shooting was shot and transported to the hospital. They are still looking for one of the suspects, the suspect that is the cause of the original traffic stop. A gun has been recovered at he scene.
