STATESVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA – A used car dealership went up in flames sending black smoke into the sky over Shelton Avenue in Statesville, NC. Fire & Rescue responded to the massive fire at the Affordable Auto Group located at 2039 Shelton Avenue around 3PM on Thursday June 3, 2021. A tanker task force was called to the scene to supply water to working fire apparatus due to limited hydrants in the area. Multiple vehicles inside the dealership were heavily damaged or destroyed by flames.
