VICTORVILLE – An offroad vehicle crash in the Restaurant Row area of Victorville has sent one man to a trauma center by air ambulance. The accident occurred at 8:45 PM in front of the Johnny Carino’s restaurant located at 11920 Amargosa Road. The area, known as ‘Restaurant Row’, is just off the I-15 and is crowded with travelers on Sunday nights returning from Las Vegas. The driver of the four wheel off road vehicle smashed into the side of a minivan that was parked at the restaurant. The driver sustained major head injuries and had to be flown to a trauma center for treatment. The minivan appeared to belong to a family that had just picked up a food to go order from the restaurant. No one from the family was injured. A nearby motorcycle was also impounded by SBSO deputies as part of the investigation. It is not known why the offroad vehicles were in the busy area.
