PICO RIVERA, CALIFORNIA – A man in a small car was being chased by CHP that started on the 605 freeway near Rose Hills. The CHP tried to pull the vehicle over due to the driver’s high speeds, when the driver did not yield, a pursuit ensued and took officers off the freeway near the Whittier area. The driver then led officers through city streets where it came to an end on Telegraph Rd near the 605 freeway after CHP officers executed a successful PIT maneuver. The vehicle became disabled and officers gave commands to the driver to exit the car. The driver then gave up without further incident.
