SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA (LLN) – On Sunday, January 17, 2021, security was high around the State Capitol Building after rioting at the U.S. Capitol Building two weeks ago. As inauguration day approaches, fencing has been erected around the State Capitol Building, surrounding streets have been closed and armed Police and members of the National Guard patrolled the area. Businesses surrounding the Capitol Building have also been boarded up as a precaution to any civil unrest that may occur leading up to inauguration day, Wednesday, January 20th.
