MORENO VALLEY: Vegetation Fire

On Monday night June 25, 2018 Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire responded to reports of a vegetation fire in the canyon area between the cities of Moreno Valley and Redlands. The fire was reported around 9:40pm along Redlands Blvd. near San Timoteo Canyon Rd. According to Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire, the forward spread was stopped at approximately six acres. The cause of the fire has yet to be officially determined however, a Mitsubishi Montero Sport was found abandoned at the scene as well as multiple spent shotgun shells. Resources where expected to remain on scene for 2-3 hours for mop-up. No injuries were reported and no structures were threatened.
