Los Alamitos:Overturned Big Rig Carrying Carnival Ride 605 Freeway

At 1:15 am multiple reports of a big rig crash into multiple vehicles was reported on the southbound 605 freeway at Willow St. When units arrived they found a jack-knifed big rig carrying a carnival ride on its side and two other vehicles with smoke coming from at least one vehicle. CHP requested a hard closure of the south 605 and are requesting cal trans for an oil spill. Two people were transported to local hospitals in stable condition and CHP is investigating the cause.
