SOUTH LA – LAFD has started to call possible COVID-19 calls “infectious disease” calls over the radios and scanners. When they arrive on scene they get geared up and evaluate the victims. A EMS Captain will show up at all possible COVID calls. The victim met the criteria for them to come out, she met the criteria to go inside. She was evaluated but was not transported. Unsure if she was not transported due to non criteria met, or if they advised her on her next step. Video shows the paramedics disinfecting the equipment used to evaluate her. This is now the new normal.
