Four children and two adults were transported to various hospitals late Sunday night after their minivan rolled over on a desolate section of Old Route 66 near Barstow. The accident happened around 9:00 PM in the 22600 block of National Trails Highway (Main Street/Route 66). The mini van was traveling north/east on National Trails Hwy when the driver lost control and rolled the van. According to the CHP CAD (Incident # 190609BS00367), there were “three children, two adults and one baby” in the van. One of the children received severe head injuries in the accidents. Four Air Ambulances were requested and at least one adult and three children were flown to trauma centers for treatment. One adult and one child were transported by ground. CHP Barstow is handling the investigation.
