GLENDALE: Good Samaritans Save Woman Out of Burning Unit

GLENDALE, Calif. — Two people were injured when a fire broke out in an apartment complex in Glendale overnight. Several residents have also been displaced. Firefighters were called to the 800 block of East Windsor around 11:00 PM, according to fire officials. That is where they found a unit with heavy smoke. Cell video shows residents frantically trying to get the tenant out as smoke filled the entrance of the unit. Several witnesses say an elderly woman lived inside the unit. It’s unclear what started the fire.
