DOWNEY, CALIFORNIA – A single car crashed into a tree trapping and killing the driver. The impact of the crash pushed the driver to the passenger’s side of the car. The driver’s side was wrapped around the tree. Downey FD used tools to extricate the driver. Paramedics pronounced the driver deceased after an extended extrication. Downey PD has Imperial closed west of Lakewood.
