HAUPPAUGE, NEW YORK – Two people were shot and one is dead. It happened at 12:45 am Friday at 450 Moreland Rd. Suffolk County Police were responding to a call for service when shots were fired. Suffolk County Police from several precincts, Smithtown Park Rangers, NYS Troopers, and multiple other agencies responded to the scene. One person is dead and another transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with injuries. The scene is still being processed by the SCPD crime scene unit and crime lab.
