MOUNT BALDY, CALIFORNIA – At 2:45 am Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department San Dimas Station responded to a 911 call of a bear breaking into a house and gaining access to the refrigerator at 25 Bear Rd, Mount Baldy. Once deputies arrived on scene, deputies immediately grabbed their rifles due to the fact that the bear might still be inside the residence with people home and locked in their room. Deputies cleared the yard and the house. The bear left the scene of the crime. The homeowner said that he could hear the bear downstairs and gaining access to the refrigerator and in the front room. The homeowner immediately locked his room door and stayed inside until sheriff deputies arrived on scene.
