A car smashed into an Apple Valley apartment complex early this morning trapping the driver for a period of time. The accident occurred around 4:45 AM at an apartment complex in the 23300 block of Yucca Loma Road. Initial reports to the CHP Barstow (Incident 00032) indicated the accident was a hit & run accident with the driver fleeing the scene. Later it was discovered that the driver was still in the car but was unable to get out. The CHP CAD stated the driver had major injuries. The driver was extricated from the car and transported in unknown condition. The accident is under investigation the CHP Victorville station.
