LONG BEACH: Deadly Shooting

Police in Long Beach are trying to figure out what led up to a deadly shooting Thursday night. The shooting was reported around 9:00 PM along the 1800 block of Martin Luther King Avenue in Long Beach. According to family members, the victim was taken to the hospital, but did. It survive. Several family members identify the victim as Ellis Stillman, a father of three. They say Stillman was in his late 30s or early 40s. Police have not confirmed the identity of the victim. Family members also say the victim was shot in the face by, what they believe, were at least two people who fled on foot. A resident who moved in the area three years ago says it has been quiet. The resident did not hear any gun shots but was surprised to see the large police presence.
