Lightning Strike Aftermath | CHARLETTE, NC 2.11.21

CHARLETTE, NORTH CAROLINA – Charlotte Fire Department responded to a reported house struck by lightning at 1220 Providence Road. Firefighters arrived and found a tree destroyed and parts of it on top of a large home. The two occupants inside weren’t hurt and luckily the largest parts of the tree fell just feet away from the house. The roof of the home had minor damage and holes. The homeowner told me off camera they heard a large boom after the lightning hit. Debris from the strike could be seen across the street from 1220, all over Providence Road
