LA HARBOR CA – A man walked into the LAPD Harbor Station and a officer involved shooting occurred, a short pursuit into San Pedro, and a suspect involved caught and arrested. Initial reports the man struggled with the officer and the suspect took the officers News reports state the officer was pistol whipped with their gun. Shot fired came over radio traffic but it’s unclear at this time who fired the shot(s).
The suspect then jumped into a truck and sped away. A officer saw the suspect and a car chase into San Pedro took place. The suspect was stopped and taken into custody near 18th & Pacific in San Pedro.
The officer and suspect were both transported to area hospitals. Hopefully update soon.
