A woman was arrested and booked on suspicion of DUI when her vehicle stalled out on the northbound 5 freeway in Santa Fe Springs. Her vehicle ran out of gas and she exited her SUV and crossed over the K-rail to safety. A small sedan did not see her blacked out vehicle in time and slammed into the rear of the woman’s SUV causing a chain reaction with another small sedan. In total only one person was transported to a local hospital in stable condition for a complaint of pain and no other injuries were reported. The woman in the SUV tried to leave the scene after the first car crashed into her stalled SUV. She was detained by a witness and ultimately arrested.
