SOUTH LA, CALIFORNIA – LAPD was in pursuit of a kidnapping suspect driving a black SUV through the streets of South LA. LAPD reported that at some point in the pursuit the female in the vehicle tried to open the door and get out. The vehicle was driving at about 35 to 45 miles per hour through
residential streets. LAPD used spikes strips and was successful in blowing
out both the passenger side tires. The suspect finally stopped on 87th St and S Broadway St and eventually surrendered after a brief standoff. No further information available.
LAPD is handling the investigation.
