POMONA – 911 calls came in of smoke coming from the rear house of 1108 W 2nd St. Once Pomona Pd and LACOFD arrived on scene they located a back house that had black smoke and fire coming from the rear of the house and also power lines that were arcing. Pomona Pd and LA County Fire evacuated everyone in the front house and made sure everyone was evacuated from the rear house. Firefighters had knock down within 30 minutes of the call coming out. Unknown at this time what caused the fire. LA County Fire has a Arson team in route to help assist with the investigation. No damage was done to the front house. There was a family living in the back house when the fire occurred.
