CALIFORNIA, SANTA ANA – Multiple callers reported seeing flames and smoke coming from the side of the 5 freeway near Grand Ave. in Santa Ana. When units arrived on scene they found an area of brush fully involved and quickly laid down lines to make a quick attack. Firefighters noticed a homeless encampment near the area where the fire started but nobody was in the area. No injuries were reported.
