GARDENA CA – Los Angeles County Firefighters arrived on scene to a call of an outdoor fire along the exterior side of the 110 freeway north at Alondra. These areas are common to be used for urban farming and companies that do business as plant nurseries. Upon arrival, they found a homeless encampment engulfed in flames. They conducted a quick search for any possible victims, which turned out to be negative, and then proceeded to run water lines and knockdown the fire in approximately 15 minutes. Firefighters are encouraging citizens to take extra precautions this summer to avoid potential outdoor and residential fires. It’s going to be a warm one!
