HOME GARDENS: Commercial Structure Fire

Early Monday morning, March 25, 2019, Cal Fire / Riverside County Fire along with the City of Corona Fire responded to reports of a structure fire in unincorporated Corona. The fire was reported around 3:10am in the 13500 block of Magnolia Avenue in the community of Home Gardens. The first arriving engine company reported smoke and fire visible from the roof of a vacant, single story commercial building. Firefighters made a quick and aggressive fire attack and were able to contain the fire to the single building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined. Westbound Magnolia Avenue between Grant Street and Brotherton Street was expected to be closed for at least two hours which will effect morning rush hour traffic as Magnolia is a major thoroughfare between the city of Riverside and Corona.
