Home Break In Suspect Calls Cops On Himself | DALLAS, TX 3.21.21

DALLAS, TEXAS – Dallas PD received a call from an individual who wanted to report he had broken a glass window of someones home and entered the residence on Swiss Ave in old East Dallas. Officers while en route to the call coordinated with the suspect via a 9-1-1 call taker to surrender and exit the home without further incident. Officers observed a person in the upstairs room on arrival, police dispatch stated that the suspect wanted the police to come inside and arrest him however, officers instructed him that a K-9 dog would be used to locate him inside. The suspect immediately complied and exited the front door. Dallas police and crime scene investigators are reviewing the offense. The suspect was charged with burglary of a habitation and transported to jail. Homeowners were not present during the incident.
