NORTH LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – The National Weather Service issued a thunderstorm warning for the Las Vegas Valley about 1:30p.m.. The weather forecast also predicted high winds in the area. At about 2:00p.m. is when both hit. High sustained winds blew through the entire Valley accompanied with moderate rainfall. Wind gust at the old drive in theater in North Las Vegas blew down one of the movie screens. The screen and debris fell across Carey Road. It is unknown if anyone was injured.
