HESPERIA: Fatal Shooting

A double shooting in Hesperia Saturday night has left one man dead and a second transported by air to a trauma center. The shooting occurred around 9:00 PM at a residence in the 11500 block of Hesperia Road. One man was pronounced deceased by SBCo Fire at the scene and a second was taken to Desert Valley Medical Center and transferred SBCo Fire Air Ambulance H-325 to be flown to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. SBSO Hesperia deputies established a very large containment area and were seen searching a nearby field. The transported shooting victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. The deceased victim appeared to have been injured/shot in the face. The suspect fled the location and is still at large.
