VICTORVILLE, CALIFORNIA – The northbound lanes of Interstate 15 were shut down in Victorville after a pedestrian was struck attempting to run across lanes. The incident was reported at 6:12 pm in the northbound lanes of the freeway between Palmdale Road and Roy Rogers Drive. The driver remained at the scene and was interviewed by CHP Victorville officers. According to the CHP CAD, the pedestrian grabbed an item near the center median and was attempted to run back to the right shoulder when he was struck by the sedan. Victorville Fire Paramedics found the pedestrian laying against the center divider. CHP conducted a full closer of the freeway so an Air Ambulance could land. The pedestrian was flown to a trauma center in unknown condition.
