HANCOCK PARK: Domestic Dispute Prompts Bomb Scare

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A domestic dispute prompted evacuations and the LAPD Bomb Squad’s response after a man placed a GPS tracking device under his wife’s car in Hancock Park today, according to the LAPD.

It started around 1:00 PM when a passerby saw the man place a device under a car along the 600 block of North Larchmont Avenue, according to Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD’s Media Relations Division.

Video shows a large presence of the Bomb Squad and ATF agents.

Some working nearby say they were asked to evacuate.

For several hours Larchmont between Melrose and Rosewood Avenues were shut down, until finally being given the all clear by police.

It’s unclear if the man will face any charges.
