CORONA, CALIFORNIA – December 25, 2020, Los Angeles County Fire Department along with Covina Fire and Covina PD responded to a house fire at McGill St and N Janalinda Ave. Once firefighters arrived on scene they located a RV trailer that was up against a house that was fully engulfed and spreading to the house. All family members inside the house were evacuated. Family members of the house notified officers and firefighters that their grandfather was trapped inside the RV that was on fire. Firefighters were able to gain access inside the RV and pull the victim out of the RV and rendered aid. The elderly male did not make it and was pronounced dead on scene. Unknown at this time what caused the fire. The Los Angeles County Fire Department has a arson team in route to assist him with their investigation into the fatal fire.
