ONTARIO – On Tuesday night, June 30, 2020, the City of Ontario Fire Department along with the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a vehicle fire on the 60 Freeway. The fire was reported around 10:16pm on the eastbound 60 Freeway, Haven Avenue off ramp. The first arriving engine company reported a fully engulfed, 32 foot, motor-home, on the shoulder of the off ramp. Firefighters were able to quickly contain the fire to the motor-home and had the fire knocked down within minutes of arriving at the scene. The Haven Avenue off ramp was closed while firefighters worked to fully extinguish the fire. No injuries were immediately reported and the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
