BELLFLOWER CA – One person was killed, and three others were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle accident on Friday morning in Bellflower, authorities said.
At about 2:00 a.m., the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly accident on the eastbound lanes of 91 Freeway at Lakewood Boulevard.
The crash and body were found on opposite sides of the freeway.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics rushed three parties to area hospitals in unknown conditions. The CHP is searching for the driver of an unknown vehicle accused of striking one of the crash victims before fleeing the scene.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
