HUNTINGTON BEACH, CALIFORNIA – A construction worker working on a expansion project was injured in a freak accident after the rear wheels of a construction vehicle broke off hitting a man working. The CHP responded to the call just after 1:00 am on the northbound 405 near the Beach Blvd. offramp. The worker was able to respond to questions and had movement to areas of his body. He was transported by ambulance to an area hospital. It was unknown how the rear wheels of the construction vehicle broke off, CHP is handling the investigation. No further details were available.
